Basmati rice, famously known as the ‘Queen of Fragrance’ has a unique aroma, sweet taste, extra length, slender kernel, high nutritional value, fluffy texture and lengthens two to three times when cooked. FinnWave Basmati is aged for six to twelve months, enhancing its famous aroma and taste, minimizing rice stickiness and is enjoyed by food connoisseurs in Finland.

Basmati Rice is an annual grain that is harvested once a year. The cultivation of Basmati rice requires large amounts of water for cultivation. Rice seedlings are hand planted into rice paddies that are then filled with water. After six months rice seedlings are matured and harvested. There are more than 40,000 different varieties of rice but only 100 varieties are grown worldwide, of which 10 percent are marketed and sold.
